Swissphone: Future-Oriented Succession Plan and 50th-Anniversary Celebration
As part of Swissphone Wireless AG’s corporate succession arrangements, the shareholdings of the company will be immediately transferred to the present management team and a group of entrepreneurs from Switzerland and Germany.
The Köchler family, founders and former owners of Swissphone Wireless AG ("Swissphone"), have transferred ownership of the company to the current management team and a group of Swiss and German entrepreneurs, advised by Rigeto Unternehmerkapital GmbH. This arrangement is part of the company’s corporate succession plan and takes place with immediate effect. With this strategic decision about sustainable succession, Swissphone has achieved yet another significant milestone in 2019. This is also the year in which Swissphone will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. Helmut and Erika Köchler – both active members of the Board of Directors until recently – launched the company in 1969, and successfully developed it to become the leading international provider of alerting and critical messaging solutions.
Swissphone will continue under its existing management. So those responsible for the parent company in Samstagern, as well as the subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, France and the USA, will all continue in their present roles. There will be no changes affecting either Swissphone’s customers or workforce.
The Swissphone Group has achieved significant developments in recent years, implementing many innovative products and winning important business contracts. Commenting on the implementation of the succession plan, CEO and new co-owner Angelo Saccoccia said:
"The support and commitment of investors from the German-speaking region, working in tandem with the present successful management team, has ensured the company will continue on a sustainable footing. Thus, we have put in place the essential prerequisites for consolidating our future market and product leadership, both nationally and internationally, and for effecting the advancement and even expansion of our present growth strategy."
