ASTRID announces new Innovation Center, Drone Corner and Workshops during 6th ASTRID User Days

ASTRID, the operator of the Belgian radio communications, paging and dispatching network, will organize the 6th edition of the Users Days on the 5 and 6 October 2016. Already more than 50 exhibitors are registered.

Since the first edition in 2003, the ASTRID User Days have steadily grown into a meeting place for all ASTRID-users and decision-makers in Belgium, for experts and for suppliers, and the international TETRA and critical communications’ community. The previous edition was attended by over 60 exhibitors and more than 1,500 visitors from the public safety field.

The upcoming edition of the User Days in October will most likely attract even more exhibitors and more visitors, as the event has become very popular with end users of the Belgian Public Safety TETRA Network and as critical communications has become one of the top priorities of the Belgian Government

Innovation Center

This year’s edition of the event will host an Innovation Corner where leading international experts will deal with future challenges regarding the relation between technology and society.

Drone corner

As in Belgium, drones are now being used to assist police, fire brigades and rescue services during interventions. Several drone companies and sector organizations will be present. The football field in the Van Stayen stadium (where the event will be held) will be used as an exhibition area by drone service providers and as a demo area.

Workshops

The event will also host a number of exciting workshops. Most of the workshops are given in French or Dutch language however some presentations may be given in English.
